TAILORED FOCUS MASSAGE
A more intense variant to our Wellness massage that uses medium to deep pressure and the optional use of Trigger Point therapies to release knotted muscles and promote longer-lasting relief. Also known as “Medical Massage, the Tailored Focus Massage is an outcome-based massage. In other words, if we’re addressing a headache, a one-hour medical massage, often referred to as a targeted massage, focuses on specific areas that you want the student therapist to address during the session. This type of massage can include a range of pressure – from light to deep, and is tailored to your individual needs and preferences. For example, a client can request that the student therapist only work on their feet, back and neck during the massage session.
AMTT's Protocol Regarding COVID-19
As a response to COVID-19, I want to detail how we are tracking the situation through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Texas Department of State Health Services(DSHS). While both organizations are monitoring the developing outbreak, we are following their advice and monitoring the situation.
As precautionary measures, we ask all our employees to follow the recommended everyday actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses. Our employees, staff and therapist, have been mandated to follow precautions to avoid the flu including:
- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick or have a 99.9 temperature or higher.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
- Follow the CDC’s recommendations for using a face mask:
The CDC does not recommend that people who are well, wear a face mask to protect themselves from respiratory diseases, including COVID 19.
Face masks should be used by people who show symptoms of COVID 19 to help prevent the spread of the disease to others. The use of face masks is also crucial for health workers and people who are taking care of someone in close settings (at home or in a health care facility).
We have additionally called for immediate action thorough cleaning and desensitizing protocols to happen every hour. Every therapy room and all public areas will be diligently cleaned by all our team members.
While the coronavirus seems unambiguous in its origin and effects, we diligently following the DSHS and CDC can protect our guests and employees by taking the recommended daily actions to reduce the spread of any flu-like repository illnesses.

We do not anticipate any interruption in our business. In the unlikely event that the situation changes, we will notify our employees and guests.
Meanwhile, we look forward to serving you as we have for the past 31 years. Your health and wellness is our priority. Please be assured that there should be no hesitation in booking or fulfilling your appointments at any of our centers.
Sincerely,

I'd rather see a female therapist. Should I request this?
It is perfectly acceptable to request a female therapist. It is well known in the massage industry that very often; women prefer female therapists and men often prefer female therapists as well. As you become a more seasoned massage receiver, you may open to the possibility of a male therapist. Many people who at first wanted only female therapists find that once they try a male therapist, they enjoy the additional strength and pressure a male therapist can offer.
